RAIN PREDICTED.
Wellington has experienced congenial ■weather during the past thirty-six hours. The Government Meteorologist anticipates that these pleasant conditions are liable to be interrupted. The forecast for to-day is: — "Heavy rain is probable in the north, cloudiness increasing, and Tain -following elsewhere." It is added that a storm appears to be approaching ! "from the northward, and is now threat- ! ening the country northward of East 'Cape and Kawhia.
