CATHOLIC BAZAAR AT LOWER HUTT
Arrangements bavo been completed for the opening of a Catholic "Bazaar and Carnival, at the King George Theatre; Town Hall, Lower Hutt, this evening. The Prime Minister (Hon. Thomas Mackenzie) will perform ■the opening ceremony An enthusiastic and energetic committee has worked very hard for some considerable time past, and has arranged for attractive .entertainments to fill in each evening, and w&ich will cater, for al' tastes. It has been fortunate in securing the services of the Highland pipers and dancers, winners at the recent Palmerston North competitions, and the Sisters Reid, and Miss Flora Shaw, who have been engaged to appear in sword and other national dances. A wide range of fancy stalls and side shows has been provided. A series of. tug-of-war competitions has been arranged to take place during the season for a handsome trophy. The bazaar will extend throughout the week. Each evening two pipers will perform outside the Town Hall, and altogether patrons are promised a. very enjoyable -time.
