HOCKEY.
.United played a friendly game with. Wellington at Day's Bay on Saturday, and won by 7 goals to 4. Tho combination on both sides was good, but the play of the backs was poor. Messrs. M'Kenzie and Gill controlled the game. United B won from Metropolitan by four goals to one after a good fast game. Mr. JR. Marshall was referee.
