An, appropriation of £3000 voted by Parliament has been made by Cabinet for erection of a hostel in connection with the* Girls' High School at Invercargin. % During the'sitiing of the Conference of Gaolers in \\fellington, the- Hon. He expected them, he said, to go very fully into all the phases of 1 the present management, and to report'to him on the lines he had indicated.
