Acting on the strength of a cablemessage from her father, the detectives have taken under their charge a young lady who arrived by a recent steamer from New Zealand, with the object of returning her to parental control. The story published is that the lady came to Sydney to meet a young gentleman, who had arrived by an earlier boat, the couple intending to proceed) to San Francisco to get married.
