HOME RULE BILL. DEMONSTRATION IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. STATEMENT BY MR. ASQUITH. FOLLOWING GLADSONE'S FOOTSTEPS. ENGLISH PRESS COMMENTS. NOMINATED SENATE CRITICISED. A loud stout welcomed the Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith) when he walked into the Chamber of the House of Commons yesterday to introduce the Home Kule for' lreland Bill, while Mr.J. Redmond (the Nationalist leader), on entering a few- minutes later, was greeted with triumphant Nationalist cheers. Mr. Bonar Law (leader of the Opposition) and Mr. A. J. Balfonr were cheered, but a special ovation was reserved for Sir' Edward Carson, one of the leaders of the anti-Horn* Rule movement in Ulster. There was a tense silence in the Chamber as the Prime Minister rose to explain the Bill.
