.WELLINGTON REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. Dr. K. 0. Morpeth prosided over the annual' meeting of the Wellington Hockey Referee^' Association last night. > The report mentioned that the associa tion Jiad been able to appoint referees for nearly every m&tcn under tin aii3oices of the Wellington Hockey Association. The frst examination of referees, which was held last t*aeon, proved very successful. Members were urged to start matches promptly. Tho report and . balance-eheel wove adopted. On the motion of Mr. J. C. Cucack, jseconded by M^r. G. Carver, it was decided— -That the Wellington Hockey Asspciation be aeked to pay to the Referees' Aseociation'th« sum of Is per match for which, referees are appointed and attend." Officers were elected as follow : Chairman, Dr. Morpe-th; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. f. M'Keaafo; appointment committed, M«*si-s. Al'K«nzie a.ud A. A. Bennett. *
