There are bright prospects of a wttlemerit of the anthracite coal strike. _ [The agreements between the anthracite and bituminous miners and employers expire on 31st March. Some of the miners' principal requests were considered to be 60 radical and arbitrary as to make their acceptance by the employera most improbable. The demands include recognition of their union and an approximate general wage increase of 20 per cent. The employers had long been preparing for a possible strike, and according to reports had accumulated large stocks of anthracite.]
