Before the Pure Food Commission, a representative of the Pharmaceutical Society gave evidence regarding the drug habit. The use of drugs, he said, had increased in shocking proportions. He urged that drugs 'should be supplied only on a doctor's certificate. STEAMER DRIFTING NEAR THE WEST INDIES. LONDON, 11th April. The Admiralty has received advices from Bermuda that the steamer Augsburg is drifting in latitude 36deg north and 66deg. west. Assistance has been sent.
