At 9 a.m. the following forecast waa Issued for the subsequent 21 hours: — Winds.— Easterly, moderate to strong, northward of New Plymouth and Napier; northerly, increasing strong to gale, elsewhere. Barometer.— Fall slowly northward of New Plymouth and Napier; fall elsewhere. Sea — Rough between Castlepoint and Kaikoura; moderate swell southwards; rough in Foveaux Strait; moderate elsewhere. * Tides.— Good northward of East i Cape; moderate elsewhere. Warning fciguals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, farewell Spit, and Foulwind, and at Stephen, Island, Nugget Point, and Centre Island. Weather. — Unsettled afc times in most parts of the country, aud rain probable shortly southwards of New Plymouth and Castlepoiut; showery also in the Jar North. D. C. BATES.
