Maungamii arrived in port from Melbourne and Hobart, via southern ports. The vessel, -which left Melbourne at 3 .p.m. on 2nd AprU, experienced moderate weather on the run across. Before proceeding to Sydney direct this afternoon the Maunganui will discharge the following imports:— 72 ingots tin, ICO bags rice, 210 bags ricemeal, 113 packages dried apricots, 160 bags superphosphates, 275 bags gypsum, 110 sacks flour, 230 packages tea, 69 bundles rattans, 20 bundles canes, 325 cases preserved milk, 92 casks tallow, 13 casks pelte, and quantity of sundries; also transhipments ex Mongolia, Suryalus, Kanowaa, and Osterley. The vessel sails at 5 o'clock sharp, and is practically a full ship as far as passenger accommodation is concerned. ISLAND CRUISES. The steamers Atua, Navua, am* Tofua will shortly commence winter tours to the islands of the Eastern Pacific. Those round trips wiU continue until November, and sailings from Auckland to Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji ■will be made every 28 days. In 30 day* the round trip, via these groups and back by Australia to New Zealand, cam be made. The Navua wUI sail for Fiji from Auckland every 28 days, and wUI come back direct. The Talune makes regular trips from Auckland every 28 days for Rarotonga -and Tahiti, and the Sua Francisco mail steamers leave Wellington fov these islands every 28 days also. INDEAPUBA, FOR HOME. At 7.25 o'clock this morning the Tyser liner lndrapura arrived from Napier, and anchored in the stream, where she is taking on board stores and fuel. At daybreak to-morrow\ the vessel sails for London via way ports. WIRELESS FOR WARRIMOO. ' The Marconi Wireless Telegraphy Company has been commissioned to equip the steamer AVarrimoo with a wireless plant. The installation, which is to be made at Sydney, will be alj kUowatt one. The Talune is also to be equipped with a plant of the same power. WAIWERA, FOR LONDON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Waiwera, which arrived from Gteborne this morning, berthed at the Glasgow Wharf, where she completes her Home loading, and will probably sail to-morrow for London. The Te Anau, which is due at Wellington from Timaru direct on. Sunday next, will sail again on Monday at 3 p.m. for New Plymouth, Westport, and Greymouth. It Is expected that the Himitangi will come off the Patent Slip on Tuesday next, as she is scheduled to sail for the Chatham Islands at noon on. Wednesday. The chartered steamer Banffshire is due at Wellington from Waitara on Monday next to continue Homeward loading under the aus? pices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The vessel visitsyother porfca north of Wellington, and saUa finally from Auckland. The Defender is due back id Wellington on Monday next from Lyttelton, and on the same day she sails for Picton, Tarakohe, and Hokitika. It will be about a fortnight before the Government training ship Amokura arrives in Wellington, from Port Chalmers, via the West Coaet. The vessel left the Otago port to-day, and it is intended that on the way to Wellington the cadets on board wIU get an opportunity to have practice in sounding and general seamanship. After a passage of' 62 days the A. and A. Line steamer Anglo-Bolivian arrived afc Melbourne on Tuesday from New York direct. The vessel -will make a caU at Sydney beforecoming on to New Zealand ports, and she is due at Lyttelton about sth May. Shortage of meat trucks delayed the Athenic afc Lyttelton, but it was hoped that the vessel might be despatched for this port today. On the 3rd April the Waitemata left Calcutta for Auckland, via Singapore and Samarang. She is due at the northern port early next month, and afterwards comes south to continue discharge.
