DRAUGHTS TOURNEY.
.WON BY HILLIKEtt. The New Zealand draughts tourney closed at the Working Men's Club today, when F. E. Hilliker (Dunedin) won the championship from J. E. Calderwood (Auckland) on percentage count. Each player scored 26 points. Boreham (Dun-, edin) was third, with 224 points. J. Leggatt (Wellington), 22 points (handicap 3), won the handicap tourney. C. Reid (Wellington) 15^ points (handicap 9) was second, and Chant (Taranaki) 14 points (handicap 10) ,was third. A sum of over £40 has been paid in prize-money. Mr. H. G. AlberiEon was secretary of the tournament.
