'ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
Tffieimembera of the conference of delegates of the New Zealand Shearers' and ■VVookhed Employees' Industrial Association of Workera waited upon the Hon. G. Laurenßon, Minister of Labour, last evening, and urged that the law should be altered co as to obviate "the necessity of 'having a branch office in each industrial district. The delegates expressed a desire to have the executive work done at a central office, to be established in Wellington. Several suggestions were made with, the object of having better accommodation provided for shearers. ■The Hon. Mr. LaurensOn expressed his sympathy with the requests of the members of the union, and promised to give them the mqst careful consideration. At the meeting of the delegates to-day ft was decided to establish the head office of the union in Wellington, not later than the Ist September next.
