Weather.— B, blue i>ky, be the atmosphere clear or heavy; C, clouds, passing clouds; D, drizzling rain; F, foggy; G, gloomy, dark weather; U, hail; L, lightning; M, misty; 0, overcast, the whole sky covered with thick clouds; i', passing showers; Q, squally; X, rain, continued rain.; S, snow; I, thunder; U, ugly, threatening appearance; Z, hazy. FOKECAST. At 0 a.m. the following forecast iras iwued for the bubsequent 24 hours:— Winds.— Moderate eouth-esasteriy breezes northward of New Plymouth and Napier; iighfc and variable but easterly prevailing thence to Hokitika. and Oamaru; taoderate to btrong westerly elsewhere. Barometer. — Little movement generally, but fall in and wmthwards of Cook Strait after about 24 houi-6. Sea.— Considerable swell southwards of Castlepoint; moderate swell between Caetlepoint and East Cape; rough in Foveaux Strait: moderate elsewhere. TMes.— Poor on all the western coast and in, Cook Strait; good generally elsewhere Weather.— lndications for fair weather! but misty and cloudy at times in many parts of the country, showers in Foveaux Strait, and -fpga on the east coast.
