SILK AND COTTON MILLS. IN NEW JERSEY AND MASSACHUSETTS RESPECTIVELY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received March 27, 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, 26th March. From Patewon, New Jersey, come* news that sixteen silk milk have been closed in different parts of tho State following the demands of the ' workers for increased pay. Seven thousand workers are idle. Twenty thousand operatives at Massachusetts cotton mills are also idle lor a similar cause, the owners having deoided to shut down until the differences are adjusted.
