Last evening, in the Mayor's room, Town Hall, the quarterly meeting of the Girls* Realm Guild was held, Mies Coatea being in the chair. The chief business of the ev-ening was to discueß the advisability of amalgamating the " Lady Plunket" and the " Kia. Ora" centres. On tho motion being put, tho question of amalgamation was carried without a single dksent. The following officers and committee were then ■ re-elected : — President, Mie. Sutcliffe; secretary, Mias W. L. Stevens; aeeietiint-secretary, Miss J. Newenham; treasurer, Miss Marie- E. Young; committee, the Mi6se6 Moss, Mueller, Young, Hugo, and D. Hurley. Various sub-committees were also set up, and it ie hoped that the Guild wili prosper under its new administration. The amalgamation will take effect as from the let"May. On the 20th April, the members of the " Lady Plunket" centre will "hold a sale of work to augment their funds.
