CENTRAL MISSION SCHOOL.
The annual report of the Central Mission School, Which is to be presented at the anniversary concert, 6tale« that the average number of scholars on the roll at thu end of laet year was fifty-six, tho number at the mafu school being thirty, and twenty-six in the infant classes. During tho past year sixteen scholars had been admitted at the main school and sixteen at tho infant class Owing to an appeal mad© at tho Young Women'B Bible Class Convention, held in Wellington last Easter, Mies Williams (now Sister Mildred) and Misa M. Carter offered their services an teachers. The cradle roll now contains forty-six names, being an increase of seven for the year, and thanks are given to Mrs. \V. E. Hovvo for her services a« cradle roll visitor. During the pant year the school, for the first time, started tablets for the scholars, and parents are requested to encourage iho children 'to do them. Tho Sunday school library, with 160 books*. wa« opened in NoVember last, and its fairly well availed of by erholain. Donations to the library will be gladly accepted. Al tho Christmafl-trco for s-choku's and children of tho district there- wiib jiii attendance of 120, and it is hoped to make tlii« an annual affair.
