SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
The above society ie again showing that it is as active ac over in providing excellent and agreeable entertainment for its members and those who love the songs and dances, of Scotland. In Saturday evening's issue of The Post was published the full programme of another of the popular concerts, which takes place on Wednesday in the Century Hall. ,The programme as a- diversified one, and the names of several new contributors to the evening's entertainment are a prominent feature of it. The admission, notwithstanding, the excellence of the> programme, •is still retained at the modest shilling, and doubtless, as . on previous occasions, the Century Hall 'will be filled to the doors. The society is rapidly increasing numerically, and the committee is in hopes that shortly it will bo able to provide a club-room for the use of members, where facilities will be provided for correspondence and the perusal of Scottish newspapers and periodicals. In tho past two years the efforts of the society nave doncunuch in fostering the spirit of national . patriotism, and stimulating the feelings of affection and regards for their native land i which always arc present- among Scots when absent from their country. A society with such an object in .view is worthy of support, and deserves ,the buccees which is attending its. efforts.
