LOAN FOR CHINA.
ONE MILLION POUNDS. POWERS PROTEST. VIOLATION OF CONDITIONS. By Telegraph.-l'ress A-uoolatlon.-Copyrlgtit. (Received March 23, 11.30 a.m.) PEKIN, 22nd March. Great Britain, America, France, and Germany are protecting against an Anglo-Belgian loan of a million pounds sterling, aligned on the 14-th March, and ratified by the Nanking Assembly. The loan ie to be a first charge on the Kalgan railway, and is described as violating the conditions embodied ■ ' in Note 6 previously exchanged between the President of the Chineee Republic, and banks in the protesting countries.
