Company to name their vessels after some country or town, pieferably one with "M" ua the initial letter of the name, and, if possible, a locality on the route traversed by the company's steamers. The latest addition to the P. and O. fleet receives its name from Maloja, a little village on the divide between Engardin, in Switzerland, and Coino, in Italy. Situated at the head of the Inn valley, tills little hamlet is frequently visited by picnickers from St. Moritz, of snow and ice sport fame, from which Maloja is only ten miles distant.
