BURGLARY AT HATAITAI.
Some time between 9.30 on Friday night and 8 o'clock on Saturday morning tho premises of Mr. S. W. Cope, storekeeper and postmaster, Hataitai, were burglariously entered, and a considerable quantity of tobacco and cash removed. Entrance was effected by forcing the front door, and the thieves (there were evidently more than one) took away about 601b of tobacco, a quantity of cigarettes, and some £1 lps cash from the store, besides about 30s in cash from the postal depart-
