HON. T. MACKENZIE MAKES A SPEECH. LIBERAL PARTY'S WORK. [BX TBUtGBAPH— PBEBS ASSOCIATION.,] '" ' TIMARU, 30th January. Mr. T. Buxton, M.V., was entertained at a, " social " at Temuka la6t night by his election committee,' and presented with an illuminated address of a, complimentary nature. Representatives were present from distant parts of the electorate. The Hon. T. Mackenzie was also present, and gave a speech in which he claimed that the Liberal Party had done much to increase the presperity of the country. To-morrow the Minister will -attend the presentation gathering in honour of Sir William Steward, sX Waimate, and will then go on t!o Oamaru to attend a gathering in honour of the Hon. T. Y. Duntan.
