AUCKLANDERS AT PALMERSTON. IST TIUtOBAPH — PBZSS ASSOCIATION^ PALMERSTON N., 30th January. The Auokland touring bowlers, prior to the match against Palmerston, were entertained at lunch, and on assembling on the Palmerston Club's green were welcomed, on behalf of the club.^by the president, Mr. J. A. Naah. The " following are the results of the six rinks played, -the Palmerston names being given first: — J. A. Nash (18) was beaten by G. M'lutosh- (27) ; H. Nash (18) beat Moir (13) ; Tasker (28) beat R. Young (15) ; J: Young (17) beat Norgrove (16); F. Mowlem (21) beat Rankin (13); A. Pickering (14) was beaten by Sutherland (16). Palmerston Club won by 116 points to 100. Afternoon tea was provided by the club, and presided over by Mrs. Tasker and Misses Tasker, A. Piokering, and M. Hands. SOUTH AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. HAMILTON, 30th January. The South Auckland Bowling Association continued its eighth annual .tournament to-day in favourable weather. Tho tournament was a record, no fewer than thirty-one teams competing. _ The following teams qualified for the semi-finals, whioh, with the finals, will be played off on Whitiora green to-morrow. Section A— Te Kuiti No. 1, Power (skip), 3i wins. Section C— Whitiora No. 1, Mitchell, 3£ wins. Section D— To Aroha No. 1, Dalton, 3 wine. Section E—Whitiora No. 2, M'Kinnon, 4_wins. Section F — Rotorua No. 1, M'Farland, 4 wins. Section ,B— Waihi No. 1, Cambridge No. 1, and Paeroa No. 2 had an equal number of wins. In tho_ play-off, 1 heads, Waihi won by one point. Waihi and Paoroa No. 2 play off first thing in the morning. In Section D Te Aroha No. 1 and Whitiora No. 2 tied. In the play-off Te Aroha won, the scores befng 4—l.4 — 1.
