ROAD DISPUTE.
'.» . . - Mr. W. S. Short yesterday eat a* aole commissioner to enquire into a road dispute between tKe Karori Borough Council and the Makara County Council. The Katori Borough Council was represented by Mr. A. do B. Brandon, and the Makstra Council by Mr. M. Luckie. The dispute concerned the maintenance of a certain piece of road line. After hearing evidence a compromise was suggested, which may eventually be found satistactGry to both parties. During the hearing, howeveT, a. legal point -was raised, wHich may possibly be referred to the Supreme Court for determination.
Arrangomnte have, according to a Prate Association telegram, been completed for the holding of the deferred fourth annual Conference of the Australasian Provincial Press Aedociation in Auckland on 18th and 19th March.
