MIRAMAR POWER SCHEME.
The Miramar ratepayers are asked to vote to-morrow on the borough council's proposal to increase the size of the power station required in connection with the water supply and drainage schemes. The council claim that if this proposal is carried, a reduotiott of |d in the £ .can be effected in the rates. ■ Approval was given to the scheme at the public meeting of ratepayers held last Friday in the dibtrict.
