At the trial of Mrs. Hazzard, the "starvation" doctor, for the murder of Miss Claire Williamson, of Melbourne, the presiding Judge, acting on what he declared was positive evidence of tampering with the jury, issued a stern warning that the discovery of the guilty party .vould result in his being sent to gaol. Ho exonerated counsel on both sides from blame in the matter. Counsel for Mrs. Hazzard asked for an acquittal but this the Judge refused to grant. A NURSE'S TESTIMONY. (Received January 29, 8.10 a.m.) NEW YOBK, 28th January. At Mrs. Hazzard's trial a nurse testi* fied that Mrs. Hazzard was always kind to her patients. Dorothea Williamson was certainly mentally unsound.
