s fBI TELKOBATH— PBE33 ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. ' The Primitive Methodist Conference met here yesterday. - - The Rev. G. K. Smith was elected' president and the Rev. J. Fe&therston. secretary. To-day the conference considered the report of a committee appointed to consider the question of union of the Primitive Methodist and the New Zealand • Methodist Churches. The report cover*ed the basis of union adopted at the conference in June last year. The speeches made' were generally favourable, but Mr. T. Atoor said the Church in, Auckland was opposed to union. The discussion is proceeding.
