Desiring to enforce the adage "Death is the Gate of Life," at Saint Michael's Church in Stockton, Warwickshire, Archdeacon Colley entered a glass-cov-ered coffin and was carried around the aisles, and then returned to the ohancel, where, raising the cover of the coffin, Archdeacon Colley pronounced the Benediction and closed the service. Some, of the congregation sobbed, whilst others were shocked and left the church.
