Patrick Dwyer was convicted and discharged for drunkenness," and fined £3, with the option of 14 days' detention, for a breach of his prohibition order. Frederick Barkinan was ordered to contribute 16s per Week towards the support of his wife. Jas. Dellavale, who travelled on th& Nikau from Nelson to Wellington without paying his fare, was fined 20s. The alternative 'was sevon days' imprison* ment. v Sydney Herbert Adamson,.a bottler, formerly employed by Thomson and Lewis at Otaki, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of £5 from Alfred M. Lewis. He also admitted misappropriating £6 3s 9d, moneys he had received on behalf of his employer. On each charge he was convicted, and fined £3, the alternative being one* month's imprisonment. For theft of articles valued at £1 19 a 6d and 7s 6d in money from Jas. Allen, Walter Jas. Hasler, an old offender, was sentenced to three monthts' imprisonment.
