' SYNOPSIS OF THE LAST 24 HOUBB. The weather has continued somewhat changeable With cloudy to overea&t skies. Isolated showers have fallen, and rain during the night oa the West Coast of the South Island. Easterly and northerly breezes have prevailed southward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and moderate to strong southerly -winds elsewhere, but the directions are more variable over the North Island this morning, and a decrease ia force has taken place.
