MAITAI, FOR SAN 'FRANCISCO. En route to San Francisco the R.M.S. Maitai arrived from Sydney a.t 0.20 a.m. to-day, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf about 9 o'clock. The vessel left tho New*, South Wales port at 5.15 p.m. last Saturday, and for the first two days of the Irip heavy southerly weather, with high seas and swell, were experienced. As forecasted by wireless, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Buapehu arrived in the stream at 9.40 o'clock last night from London, via ports.-- The vessel berthed at No. 1 south, Queen's Wharf, abont 8.30 a.m. today to discharge about 6200 tons of cargo. She left London on Friday, 24th November, and Plymouth, Teneriffe, Capetown, and Hobarfc were all' made in fine weather. The Kamona, after coming oft the Slip yesterday, berthed at the Clyde-quay Wharf. She will leave for Grey mouth to-morrow, and should retnrn at the beginning oi next week. McLean and Mr. F. R, Aveling have joined the Pateena as second and third officers respectively. Yesterday afternoon the collier Regulus was taken on to the Patent Slip to complete overhaul. McLatighlin, whom he has succeeded, has resigned from the Union Company's Service,. Advices from , Sydney state that the Union Company's training ship Dartford will probably proceed from that port, to Lyttelton, where she will bo docked. , While the Ruapehu was at' London last November the third officer (Mr. Dawson) waa promoted ' to .second, in place of Mr Mackinstry, who went ashore on sick leave. The Moeraki, which arrived from Sydney yesterday, remains in port till S p.m. tomorrow, „ when she sails pn the return trip to that port. The Warrimoo arrives from Melbourne and Hobart, via Southern ports, to-morrow, and will leave in the' evening on the return trip to those' ports, instead of making the round trip to Sydney. On the 2nd of this month the Tyser liner Indrabarah arrived at London from Australian portSt, via Dunkirk and Liverpool. She will sail again from London on tho 29th Inst. for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports.
