MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

There was a large attendance at the Missions to Seamen Institute' last evening, when Mr. G. W.'Barltrop provided an interesting limelight lantern exhibition. Mr.- F. S. Shell, the missioner, explained the views, which consisted of a trip through the Mediterranean and pictures of the antiquities of Athens. Several views of London were also shown. Two illustrated songs, "The Holy City," and "The Lost Chord," were sung by Mrs. Willie. Mr. Barltrop was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion. A concert party visited Porirua Mental Hospital last evening, with Mrs. i Schoch, official visitor.- Each item was much enjoyed by the patient*. Messrs, M'Cormick, Blandford, Fletcher, Peterson, and Borneo Gardiner, and Mesdames Gardiner, Mitchell, and Schoch assisted.
