FIRE AT KILBIRNIE.
J TWO HOUSES DESTROYED. At 2.46 a.m. to-day the brigade received a call to Onepu-road, Kilbirnio, where v fire had started in a house owned and occupied by William Millar. The flames took complete charge, and the dwelling and contents, insured for £600 and £260 in the London and Lancashire and State offices respectively, were cc-nipletdly destroyed. The fire also spread to an adjoining house, occupied by' VV. 3. Miller, which was also totally destroyed. The insurance on thk dwelling was £550 in the Queensland office, and the contents were covered by , a policy of £150 in the Royal. The two adjoining buildings flrore slightly scorched.
