Rumours (says the Christchurch Press) are vo. circulation that owing to ,th© boring • operations for water at Hflniuer 1 , which up to the present have not been entirely successful, the water supply has been affected. Thi« is nob the case, as there is as much water and it ie ac good in quality ac it has ever been. The boring operations have not in any way affected the existing supply.
