AUCKLAND, 9th January. Replying to representations made by the Chamber of Commerce for the lighting of Three- Kings, the Minister of Marine states that it has been decided to erect a lighthouse on North Cape, but the question of placing one on Three Kings requires further consideration, as there are various difficulties in the way oi" putting a lighthouse and fog signal on those islands in such position as would benefit passing "vessels.
