TEACHER'S DISMISSAL
ACTION BY THE INSTITUTE. [BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. The enquiry set on foot by the New Zealand Teachers' Institute into the dismissal of Mr. T. Sta-gpoole from the service of t-he Wanganui Education Board has resulted in the institute taking up the caGe, and demanding the netting up of an Appeal Board under the Act. This will consist of the Stipendiary Magistrate, Mr. R. M'Nab, as assessor (or the institute, and another as representative of the board. No lawyers a-re permitted to appear iov either side, but the parties may be rcpreeented, a.nd to this end Mr. Stagpoole lias asked Mi 1 . Wm. Thompson* tv represent him, while it L< understood that My. P. Pii-ani will represent tho board. 'J'ho Teachers' Institute delegates heard a considerable amount of evidence regarding the visit of the organising inspector of the board to the Lmton School before coming to the decision to take up the appeal.
