CRICKET CONTROL. MEETING OF WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION.
, The fortnightly meeting of the Management Commitee of the Wellington Cricket Association vas held last evening, Mr. A. T. Bate in the chair. A complaint from the Central - Club re tho unsatisfactory condition of the practice wickets was referred to the Grounds Committee. The club also asked for a reduction of the rent charged for the room at tho Basin Reserve. Owing to tho\ financial v position of the Association, it was decided not to contribute to the J. M. Blaokham testimonial fund. It was decided to challenge Canterbury for tho Plunkot Shield. Tho 25th, 2&th, and 27th of January are to bo suggested as suitablo dates for the match. The treasurer reported that there had been a profit of £94 on tho two representative games played during the holidays; ahp that tho bank overdraft had beon considerably reduced.
