THE NEW THEATRE.
The new programme at The New Theatre yesterday was welcomed by large audiences at all sessions. Tho favourite picture was undoubtedly, the romantic story of the American Civil War, "A Daughter of Dixie," but "The Last of the Abencerrages," a dramatisation of the tale of the Cid, met with much appreciation also. The rest of the programme is strong in scenic • interest, with the Wild West touch present in "The Lost Letter,* 1 a cowboy pictureyarn. Altogether the programme at The New Theatre is of more than ordinary merit this week.
