According to the Dunedin Star, there appears to be come dissatisfaction among the coal miners in tlie Green Island district over the employers' action in placing an extra man to work at the " fa-ce " hewing roal. Hitherto tho rule in most caws was to have two placemen hewing coal at each face. The men contend that a third man will reduce the earning power of all. It is understood that the miners' executive are considering the question.
