GREYTOWN NOTES.
[BY TELEGBAHH— SPECIAL TO Tfflß POST.] GREYTOWN, This Day. The Farmers' Union of Eketahuna has appointed Mr. W Tilson, of Tawaha, to judge the horso events at their show <on 22nd inst. The Government has forwarded the £250 grant in aid of the local coronation j baths fund. • The council is having some trouble with the bath 3, as thte water won't stay in tho baths, owing to the concrete Walls not being watertight. We have the Rev J. WI Webster, a. Chinese missionary, staying in Greytown for a holiday. He proposes giving a lecture shortly on* China, which should be of much interest at this particular juncture. The Bowling Club members are now busy putting in practice for coming event 3. The headquarters of the 2nd Battalion of the 9th Regiment of the Territorials is to be at Greytown, with Major Charters, our local pedagogue, in charge>Mr. Charters served with distinction in the Boer war, and is an enthusiast in military matters.
