GALA PERFORMANCE IN LONDON. HANDSOME RESULT. By Teleuraph.— Prehs Association.— Copyrlgfc*. (Received January 9, 8,30 a.m.) LONDON, Bth January. At the Dickens Centenary gala performance on Sunday in the Coliaeum, Sir John Hare, All. ]L S. Willard, and three hundred leading actors and actresses appeared in Dickens characters. The performance resulted in the sum of £3500 being obtained for the five grandchildren of tho novelist, who are the daughters of Mr, Charles Dickens, junior. The Daily Telegraph collected ju\ additional £3882.
