DRAMATIC LICENSES.

The conflict between the music halls and theatres has been settled by the Lord Chamberlain granting dramatic licenses to the halls, provided the sketches are first submitted for his approval.
Mr. M'Garry, M.L.A., states that, on the recommendation of the New South Wales (Jloser Settlement Board, three estates, Toole's Creek, Tarcutta Station, and Shokaroo — all on the proposed route of the railway from , Wagga to Tumbarumba — have been earmarked by the Government for resumption at an early date for closer settlement [|irpoases. The aggregate area of these estates is about 75,000 acres. Tarcutta contains 45,000 acres and Toole's CreeK comprises 15,000 acres. The members of "the board were greatly impressed by the varied fevtility of the country and its suitability for carrying a large population under closer settlement.
