POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC EMANCIPATION. Bj Telegraph.— Pmt Ageac!atlon.~-Coi>yrle!U. HOBART, Bth January. The Federal Labour Conference has opened. The South Australian delegates are unable to attend owing to the pending elections. Mr. Earle, the leader of the Tasmania Labour Party, was elected chairman, Sir. Fisher desiring a. fiee hand in discussing the agenda, which includes a number of epeculative and daring proposals. Mr. Fisher, in a speech at the public welcome to the delegates, said the intelligent youth of Auatralia was looking to the Labour movement for political and economic emancipation.
