MARITIME CONFERENCE.
The conference of waterside workers of the Dominion, which was begun yesterday, in the Socialist Hall, was continued * throughout the day. Delegates from Auckland and interested visitors from Wanganui are in attendance today. Business was mainly concerned with routine matters — drafting proposals and conditions^ of labour which are to be submitted to the employers and shipowners at ' a conference fixed for tomorrow. A Post reporter, was informed that "the national agreement of the waterside workers is one simply between the Unions represented at the conference and the New Zealand Federation ot Labour. No other organisations are recognised. The agreement is to bo signed by the. unions iwid counter -signed by the federation."
