In reply to expressions of general regret at the Government's action in withdrawing tho_Vice-Regal Residence from Federal use, tKe Hon. W. A. Hoiman (Attorney-General) states that the business of maintaining the dignity of the Governor-General in providing for the possible hospitality ot august visitors is the Commonwealth's. It was not th© State's duty to supplement the omissions of Federal management.
