The Marconi Wireless Company, Ltd., has formally intimated to the Federal Government that it intends to take such action as is necessary to protect its patents. Mr. Fraser, Federal Postmaster-Gen-eral, states that the Government will proceed with the system it intends to register. The stations at Hobart, Melbourne, Port Moresby, and Cooktown, or Thursday Island will each cost £1600, aud higli-powev stations at Fremantle and Sydney £4600 each.
