TENNIS CONTROL.

A meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zeal ana Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening, Mr. G. A. Hurley presiding in the absence of Mr. Fisher. Mr. William Goss, president of the Christohurch Association, was eleoted president of the New Zealand Association and vice-president of the Australasian Association for the ensuing year. It Was resolved that a cable be sent to the Australasian Association asking further; information with reference to the possibility of a team of ladies coming to ISlew Zealonc' from Australia 'to play a match in Wellington, either before or after tho Davis Cup contests. The secretary (Mr. A. 0. Petherick)reported ihat arrangements were wall in_ hand in connection with tho New Zealand championships, to be held at Christchurch on 23rd, 26th, 27th, and 28th December; that on his recent visit to Christohurch ha found < the grounds were in fairly good condition, and that everything would be ready in good time for the championships and match.
