Also started : Hitnitangi,. Kuataniwha, and Overheard. The two first-named fell. Won by a nose. Time, 2min 54sec. Maiden Handicap Steeplechase, of 90» sove; two miles and a-half.— Wirihana, 9.7, It The Plough, 9.?, 2. Also started: Glenmore. Watershed, and Sotoan. All fell but Glenmore and Wirihana. Glenmore ran off, but The Plough was Temounted and secured* second place.
