MISS HILDA SPONG TO VISIT AUSTRALIA.

Williamson has engaged Mies Hilda Spong for an Australian tour, which opens in Sydney in, December next. t The chief piece to be presented will be the American play, "Every Woman," fHilda Spong was born in Australia in May, 1875, being a daughter of W. B. Spong, a well-known wehe painter both in Australia and England. She made her first appearance on the stage at the Criterion Theatre, Sydney, in 1890, ill "Joseph's Sweetheart," afterwards playing for over five years at other Sydney theatres. At Drury La tie, on 19th September, 1896. she made her first ap« pearance cm the London stage as Sybil Grey in "The Duchess of Cdblgardie." After playing at several other English theatres she went to America, which country she has "starred" with' much success.^
