SUNDAY SCHOOLS.
The last but one ■of Mr. Newton Jones's " chalk talks " to boys and girls was given ih St. James's Hall last night, when a largo number of young folk listened attentively to Mr. Joneses address. A teachers' conference followed the scholars' meeting, when methods of Bibk study Were discussed and hints given as to the -right way to prepare and deliver the lesson. It was suggested that Sunday school teachers should be formally set apa*t for their work at the communion service of their church, thus impressing the teacher and the congregation with the importance of the position. The teachers present asked quite a. number of questions which Mr. Jones answered, explaining how difficulties had been met in other places. The " ahalk talks " and the Bible study will be given to-night for the last time, and to-morrow Mr. Jones will give his lecture, "My Own Life Story. )?
